NY Sixths

During this sixth roll -  I got shots from my FIRST VISIT EVER  to MOMA : the HIGH POINT was without any doubt seeing face to face NAN GOLDIN photos - one of my favorites ever pieces of photography work : the BALLAD OF SEXUAL DEPENDENCY, which theme and root beliefs are so close to my own experience, as I am myself fascinated with the artistic potential of the GENDER BOND - one who is still slightly TABU ( on no, lets not speak of the REAL SOCIO/CULTURAL differences and discrimination between the sexes -  IS STILL PRETTY MUCH A MANS WORLDS - even IN ART), bonds that seem invisible in daily life, but are there powerful, strong, invisible binding and deciding any kind of relationship between the two sexes. It is ENDLESSLY fascinating, for me.

Besides MOMA, there were also other 2 special experiences captured: Jasmins very private performance to which I shot and video recorded ( she dragged me inside one of Brooklyn's abandoned, squat old warehouses, and I saw her perform her solo impro. in a dark wall hole - where apart from silence you could only hear vague sounds from the world outside and the broken pipes water falling - it was interesting -  although as I confessed: Jasmin when i saw the place I literally s* myself a little - Jasmin is more hardcore herself than 1000 THANK GIRLS -  and bare in mind please - she likes sometimes to wear pearl necklaces and always carry her hand elegantly by the hand). I got a couple of good shots here - altough the VERY DIM lighting conditions, made the all shot quite challenging and many shots got lost due to the extreme under exposure we had.

The second special moment was shooting BROOKLYN bridge by sunset with Michelle. There is something about NY bridges, they all seem more grand, more colossal than other bridges I have seen. I managed also to see LADY Liberty, very tiny away from this side. Michelle is so cool, energetic and funny - pitty we did not had time to hangup that much -  next time is a deal. She is also a brilliant photographer (!) as well as a kick-ass tango dancer ( even she says she is not).

Here the shots.
