This is the BEST place I have worked on.
V.G (the painter I am working for  at the moment) just moved into a new studio: a abandoned old english pub, in which 6 other artist live and work -  when I go there I could just not leave. I love the place, the people, the smell, the music, the colors, the fact that always someone picks up a guitar out of nothing and starts to sing,  and especially the memories that it creates on my vague mind, whilst I stay there, still, posing ....

THIS is LOVE - Recovering Beauty

9 years,
I often forget M. physical beauty,
its cruel, but normal
when you live with someone so closely

I always tended to focus at his inner beauty
it is so overwhelming, so big

but on this shot,
I look at it now and reflect
at your beauty

softness in all features
almost too pretty as a woman
(gheisha maybe)

the softness of the perfect profile
reflecting the generosity

the mouth,
so soft, so generous, so full

the nose,
soft, soft, soft
a silky descending line

the black hair,
strong, hard and dry
the remains of masculinity

the hairless body
the perfumed skin
always warm

almost too pretty M.,
almost too feminine
a masculine soft flower
so beautiful

( on a mission these past days to get up to date with the many, many, developed film waiting some kind of exposure/posting - keeping the faith - I EVEN forbidden myself to spend any more money shooting new film , until I have decided to somehow honor the film already shot, and waiting in dark, lonely,  folders)

One of the things I love about working as a life model is the spaces I experience.
Most of the times they are unique, quirky, unexpected in charming in a unconventional way.

All of this applied to the Islington Arts Factory -  although  not a regular place of work ( I only went there to secure my RAM audition place) -  experiencing the space was really a exciting visual/sensorial experience.

One of my favorite London classes - Toudejous gallery life drawing sessions are always charming, interesting and inspiring. The space is small but immaculate, and it is a really nice feeling to pose inside a art gallery.
And of course Daniel is always a perfect host - ma,ing everyone so welcome - entering his gallery is like entering his home.

And a final plus - always Ginger Beer available at the break.

A very quiet, peaceful, lovingly, warm chinese new year welcoming at the flat.
I was particularly excited about this year - as it is the YEAR of the TIGER - and my own sign - I wanted to make an effort and welcome heartly this beautiful, brave, daring, exciting creature.
